- Diseases accompanied by persistent pain syndrome requiring constant use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances included in the List of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors
- Malignant neoplasms requiring anticancer treatment, including chemotherapy
- Epilepsy with ongoing seizures, including treatment-resistant epilepsy
- Mental and behavioral disorders in state of exacerbation or unstable remission, including those that pose danger to patient and others
- Cachexia of any origin
- Incurable progressive diseases and conditions requiring palliative care
Persons with medical contraindications may be accepted at Santa Maria Integrative Medical Retreat for recreation and health-improvement without a medical package, provided that the guest's actual state of health allows him/her to stay in the Medical Retreat, and also does not pose danger to life and health of other guests.
