Stem cells need somewhere to land
Stem cells aren’t free-floating repair crews. When the lymphatic system is congested and the tissue is inflamed, cells arrive in an environment that can’t receive them properly. So we clear the ground before we plant anything: three days of testing and preparation, then the cells.
Every Santa Maria patient completes the preparation. It is built into how we work, not an optional extra.

Programs always begin on a Thursday. Friday morning opens with the microscope: you see your own blood on screen with the doctor, before anything else.

What they are
Adult regulatory cells found in bone marrow, fat and the umbilical cord. In the body they help tissues repair and keep the immune system in balance. Ours come from umbilical cord tissue donated with consent after healthy births. They are not embryonic cells.

Safety
A review of 55 randomized trials (EClinicalMedicine, 2020) found a favorable safety profile for IV mesenchymal stem cells; the most common reaction was a short fever. In Mexico, stem cell therapy is regulated by COFEPRIS.
