Lyme disease and chronic infections: from a clinic founded by a Lyme survivor

Our founder lived with undiagnosed Lyme disease for eight years. We built Santa Maria for people on the same road.

From $5,900 for 7 days · 10, 14 or 21 days · room, meals & treatments included · deposit $800

Who it is for

Does this sound like you?

01You were diagnosed with Lyme disease, treated, and never fully recovered.
02Nobody could explain your symptoms, and you suspect a hidden infection.
03Fatigue, joint pain, brain fog and nerve symptoms come and go.
04Infections keep coming back.
05You’ve tried antibiotics, and they weren’t enough on their own.

People come to us with: Lyme disease and co-infections such as Bartonella and Babesia · reactivated viruses such as Epstein-Barr · infections that keep coming back · parasites · Candida · autoimmune conditions.

Mariya's story, in short
Our founder

Mariya’s story, in short

For eight years our founder Mariya lived with more than twenty symptoms and saw more than 60 doctors in five countries. Her tests were “normal”. In 2017 the answer finally came from a specialized laboratory: chronic Lyme disease with a co-infection. Antibiotics alone weren’t enough. She recovered only when infections, immunity, metabolism, the gut, nutrition and the nervous system were treated together, in one plan.

That plan became the Santa Maria Method.

Why it is hard

Why chronic infections are hard to treat

They hide
Lyme bacteria and some viruses can live inside tissues and cells, where they’re hard to find and to reach.
They rarely come alone
Co-infections, reactivated viruses, parasites and Candida often travel together.
They can exhaust the immune system
It ends up both overactive and tired.
The body is overloaded
Years of infection, medications and inflammation clog the body’s “exits” (the liver, lymph and gut), so it can’t clear what the treatment stirs up.

That’s why at Santa Maria we don’t start with the infection. We start by opening the exits.

Our approach is informed by ILADS, the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society, and by integrative doctors who have worked with chronic Lyme disease for decades.

How we investigate
Diagnostics

How we investigate

A consultation with our doctor and a careful review of your history, tests and treatments so far
Live blood microscopy on your first and last day
Lab work: inflammation, immunity, blood sugar, liver, kidneys, vitamins
An ultrasound of your organs
Through our partner laboratory, when your history points to it: tests for Lyme and co-infections (such as Bartonella and Babesia), viruses (such as Epstein-Barr), parasites, Candida and immune function (extra cost)

How we treat chronic infections

Cleanse & Reset → Target → Regenerate → Maintain
1
Cleanse & Reset: liver and gallbladder cleanse, lymphatic drainage, the Slavic banya and detox foot baths, so the body can clear what treatment releases, with support for your energy, gut, nerves and sleep
2
Target: we work on the infections and inflammation. Depending on your case, this may include ozone therapy, intravenous laser therapy, high-dose vitamin C and other IVs, an anti-parasite protocol and herbal formulas
3
Regenerate: we help restore tissues, energy and immunity
4
Maintain: your plan for home: what to continue, which labs to repeat, what to follow up on with your own doctor

Up to 3 IVs a day when appropriate (intravenous laser + 2 IVs), 8–12 treatments a day, adjusted by your medical team as you respond.

How long? For chronic Lyme disease we usually recommend 2–3 weeks on your first visit, and a second stay about 6 months later.
